TRAVEL INFORMATION.

Getting to Anthro New England isn’t as difficult as you might think! With our convention being located comfortably within South Boston’s Seaport district, it makes it very easy to get to and from our event!

Please read this guide carefully for some suggestions and recommendations for traveling to and from Anthro New England and the city of Boston.

BOSTON LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

Boston Logan International Airport (KBOS) is the primary airport for the city of Boston, located roughly 3.5 miles from the Westin Boston Seaport District via the Ted Williams Tunnel. This trip typically takes 10 minutes by car or rideshare, depending on traffic; please note that the tunnel is restricted to vehicles only and is not pedestrian-accessible.

For your convenience, we recommend using the MBTA’s Silver Line (SL1) bus rapid-transit service, which stops at every terminal at Boston Logan. The SL1 provides regular service directly to World Trade Center station, located just a 5-minute walk from the Westin. Best of all, the SL1 is free when traveling from the airport into the city! Return trips towards Logan are $2.40. The SL1 operates every 13 minutes in both directions. We recommend using Google Maps, Transit, or the MBTA Go app to plan your route, as schedules may fluctuate based on your travel times.

For more info, including flights and airport information regarding Boston Logan International Airport, click here to visit their website.

ADDITIONAL AIRPORTS IN THE BOSTON AREA.

While Boston Logan is the most commonly used airport for our attendees, there are a number of additional airports located within the region around Boston! Depending on your needs, some of these airports may offer cheaper flight options. We recommend you also consider these airports when booking your flight. Below are the additional airport options, sorted by distance from Boston.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (KMHT) is the main airport of the state of New Hampshire, located 3 miles south of Manchester, NH. The airport offers plenty of domestic flights, and is roughly 55 minutes away from Boston by car or rideshare.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is served by three daily trips via Greyhound Bus, providing transportation to Boston South Station, located a 15 minute walk away from the Westin Boston Seaport hotel.

For more info, including flights and airport information regarding Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, click here to visit their website.

RHODE ISLAND T.F. GREEN INTERNATIONAL Airport.

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (KPVD) is the main airport of the state of Rhode Island, located 10 minutes south of Providence. Rhode Island International is roughly 1 hour away from Boston by car or rideshare. The airport offers a few international flights as well as plenty of domestic flights, and is connected to Boston via an MBTA Station (TF Green Airport Station) a short walk out of the terminal via a skybridge.

The Providence/Stoughton line provides regular service that takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive at South Station Station, a short walk from the Westin Boston Seaport hotel.

The city of Boston is home to two major train transit hubs: North Station and South Station. Each station serves a different set of rail lines, but are connected via the MBTA subway system – although you would need to transfer between subway lines to do so. To help you plan your arrival to Boston and Anthro New England, we’ve put together the following sections based on which station you’re arriving in on the best ways to get to the Westin Boston Seaport District hotel!

BOSTON SOUTH STATION.

South Station is the busiest transit hub in the city of Boston and serves as the primary gateway for those traveling from the South and West. It’s the northern terminus for Amtrak’s Northeast Regional and Acela services, as well as the Lake Shore Limited. Additionally, the station is served by eight MBTA Commuter Rail lines, as well as the Red line subway and the Silver line rapid-bus system.

While South Station is directly served by the Red and Silver lines, two other MBTA subway lines are one stop away: Green line (via Park Street) and Orange line (via Downtown Crossing).

For attendees driving into Boston to join us, we recommend using a navigation app like Google Maps or Waze to navigate the city and it’s unique tunnel systems and one-way streets. Often you will see traffic accumulate during rush hour – so please plan accordingly, and consider leaving earlier than what the navigation apps may suggest you need to.

When you arrive, please note that the Westin Boston Seaport District and our overflow hotels are located in a high-traffic urban area where parking is in high demand. To avoid ‘sticker shock’, or the stress of a full garage, we strongly recommend planning your parking strategy in advance. If you do park same-day, be sure to read all signage and be aware of time limited parking.

Parking Options At the Westin.

The Westin Boston Seaport District hotel operates its own on-site garage, which is located underground with an entrance and exit right next to he main lobby entrance off East Side Drive.

Self-parking is $30/night for ANE attendees, you must inform the hotel at check-in that you are staying with the event, and parking your vehicle in the garage. You will be able to leave using your hotel keycard.

The hotel also offers valet parking for $59/night. Valet parking is located at the main lobby entrance just next to the main doors at the valet parking booth. Please note that cash tips are expected by the valet parking staff when retrieving your vehicle.
Overflow Hotel Parking Options.

Anthro New England’s overflow hotels each offer their own parking options, unlike the Westin, most of these hotels only offer valet parking. We recommend considering using a parking service like SpotHero to find cheaper parking nearby your chosen hotel.

  • Parking at the Aloft & Element hotels is $54/night for valet parking only.
  • Parking at the Renaissance hotel is $60/night for valet parking only.
