Oh wow… what a year!
Ten years of Anthro New England — can you believe it?!
It feels like just yesterday we were kicking things off back in 2015. Whether you’ve been with us for every single one of those years, popped in for a visit sometime in the past, or if 2025 marked your very first ANE adventure — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for spending your weekend with us in Boston. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year! ❤️🦌
Even with a few pre-con challenges, our incredible staff rolled up their sleeves and kept working to innovate and improve how we run ANE. We’re already working on ways to make next year even better for each and every one of you wonderful attendees!
Now, what about the numbers? An unbelievable 5,761 of you joined us in Boston to search for Copley, of which 2,275 of you were fursuiters, 969 of you participated in the fursuit parade, and helped us raise $40,000 for our two charities: Wings of the Dawn and Queer Scouts!
We want to thank our stellar Guests of Honor for 2025: Jaystor, Godbird and NONSTOP! They poured their creativity into shaping our awesome lineup of events and crafting the beautiful artwork and theme for ANE 2025: A Staggering Case!
Our Video Team returned this year in full force to film our main events and we’re proud to say that their work is almost complete — Dragon’s DOJO is already edited and available over on YouTube for you to watch! Over on the photos side of things, our Photo Team is hard at work finalizing edits for our photo room pictures, The Outer Limits photos and the fursuit photo. We’ll have them out as soon as possible — we’ve already got new methods in motion for a quicker turnaround next year.
So, where was Copley?! We’re so thankful to say that thanks to all of your detective work (including through our ARG which was put together by the Media Team), Copley was found and returned to Boston safely! Our wonderful friends over at Further Confusion helped us secretly tour Copley around at various furry conventions around the United States, culminating in our favorite deer attending both Further Confusion and Anthro New England in one weekend! Copley is now sporting an airtag on his collar, so no more unscheduled vacations for our deer boy.
Alright alright, enough about the past — let’s peek into the future! What’s new for ANE 2026? While we can’t spill all the beans just yet, we’ve got a major announcement to kick things off!
Get ready for TWO additional overflow hotels! We’re absolutely delighted to welcome the Renaissance Boston Seaport hotel and the Hampton Inn Boston Seaport District hotel to our room blocks! Both offer fantastic room rates, comfortable accommodations, and their own pools!
And finally — we’re thrilled to welcome our Guests of Honor for 2026! Please give your best to Rito Bandito, Sleepy Stag Suits, and The Stupendium! We know with this lineup of fine folk you’ll be thoroughly entertained! We’re already cooking up some fun special events with these guests, so please keep an eye out for news on those as well!
