The below is the Welcome letter from ANE 2019 Chairperson: Hunter Hundchen

Anthro New England is upon us once again, and this time we’re lurking through the dark woods of Boston’s skyscrapers, on the run from the were-creatures lurking in the night! There’s power in numbers and we’re thrilled to have you along on this trek as we continue to cement our place in downtown Boston.

The Boston Park Plaza has graciously invited us back, providing safe haven for all of our guests brave enough to face off against werewolves and beasts alike! With dedicated ANE guest floors in the BPP and improved Security, we are confident your experience will be one to remember, rather than one that will be hushed. If you’re brave enough to leave the BPP and venture out into the woods, you’ll find an abundance of food and drink options in the surrounding areas of the city.

While you spend your time with us, it is our hope that you have the pleasure of interacting with some of the ANE team. Anthro New England is a volunteer-based organization, which means that every single staff member is devoting their time and efforts to make this convention special. If you see a staff member, take a moment to thank them as they work to make your experience the best it can be. Also, if you’d wish to become a part of the team, feel free to stop by Convention Operations to volunteer your own time! You can work as little or as much as you’d like and would be rewarded for your selflessness. If you ever need anything during the course of the event or have comments or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a staff member.

Returning to ANE for their fifth year is our amazing charity, Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog. We are thrilled to be able to work with MAVAD again to help in their mission of supporting and protecting Massachusetts’ K9s, the K9 handlers, and their community. We’re excited for MAVAD to share with you all what they were able to do with the $21,000 you helped raise at ANE2018, and share their experiences and stories about the importance of their work. We are truly honored to welcome them back and we hope that you will take the opportunity to stop by their table in the Dealer’s Den.

The full schedule of events for ANE2019 is available on our website. We’ll also be updating our guests on all things relevant via Twitter, so please follow us there [@Anthro_NE]. We hope that our plethora of events will keep you safe from any were-beasts lurking about!

No stranger to werewolves himself is Enro Mutt, and joining him is Meesh, another insanely talented artist. The two of them graciously accepted being ANE2019’s Guests of Honor and have provided much of the great art you’ll see around the event. Please join me in welcoming them to Boston by saying hi at their table and attending the “Meet the GoH” panel!

Thank you again for joining us here in Boston this year. I’m so excited to see everyone having the time of their lives at Anthro New England 2019: Attack of the Were-Con!
