ANTHRO NEW ENGLAND 2022 COVID-19 POLICY
Last revised Jan 24, 2022
This policy includes the measures we are taking to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Attendees are required to follow these rules to maintain a healthy and safe venue during this time of pandemic. We have zero tolerance for anyone who would shirk these guidelines, as that would put other attendees at risk of exposure; the health and safety of our attendees is our top priority.
These policies are subject to change without prior notice, due to the constantly evolving nature of the pandemic.
These policies apply to staff, volunteers, and attendees at Anthro New England who physically come to the function to participate or assist in the successful running of all convention events. This includes following the guidelines and measures put into place by the City of Boston, the Boston Park Plaza, the CDC, and Anthro New England itself. This policy is not meant to replace any other policies in place by the venue or the CDC.
We require proof of two doses of an mRNA vaccine (Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca), or one dose of Johnson and Johnson, for all staff and attendees, prior to badge pickup. This is in accordance with the City of Boston’s ‘B Together’ policy as well as the Boston Park Plaza’s COVID-19 policies. While your convention badge will serve as suitable proof of vaccination within most hotel spaces, we recommend that you carry proof of vaccination on hand if you plan to enter public spaces outside convention jurisdiction.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of Boston, the Boston Park Plaza, and Anthro New England requires masks to be worn in all indoor public spaces, which includes all of our convention spaces. Masks MUST cover both your mouth and your nose. A balaclava or a mask must be worn under all fursuit heads, and it must cover both your mouth and your nose. We have a one-strike policy; con safety will only ask you to wear your mask properly once. If you have to be asked a second time, your badge will be revoked.
The CDC advises that everyone maintain a six-foot distance from each other. Keeping distance helps minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 to people who may be more susceptible to the virus. Please follow all designated paths in rooms such as the Dealer’s Den, and please avoid crowding in areas such as the Lobby and Mezzanine.
FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES.
Wash your hands, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and monitor your health – if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc) or if you have tested positive and not isolated for 5-10 days, we ask that you please do not attend the convention for the safety of yourself and others.
